#BuildFirst is a campaign to build new social housing on the Druids Heath estate prior to clearing any more of the blocks.
The current clearance process is causing financial, emotional, physical and psychological hardship and distress to residents. Hardships that we believe can be significantly reduced or even avoided by building homes prior to clearing out blocks. This simple and logical adjustment to the regeneration plans will make real positive changes to not just the individuals in the clearance but also the wider community.
Empty blocks have caused safety concerns and put many vulnerable residents at risk of harm.
